China has consistently reaffirmed the right of all NPT States parties to participate in the fullest possible exchange of equipment, materials and scientific and technological information for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. It has supported the central role of the IAEA in facilitating peaceful-use cooperation and has used bilateral and multilateral channels to promote nuclear technology exchange.
China has concluded intergovernmental agreements on peaceful nuclear-energy cooperation with more than 30 countries and has supported training and education for developing countries through nuclear-energy management schools, scholarships and technical cooperation.
China has also framed peaceful-use exchanges broadly, covering not only nuclear power but also nuclear applications in agriculture, medicine, industry, environmental protection, resources and other development-related fields.
