The Thematic Database systematises working papers submitted to NPT PrepComs and RevCons by themes. Currently, only working papers from the Eleventh Review Cycle are available on this page. They are categorised, across columns for each year (2023 – 2026) in which a meeting took place and by rows of thematic categories. Therefore, any working papers whose titles include identical language that fall under these themes, are grouped together respectively, organised across years in which the papers were submitted.
The categories of ‘themes’ are identified based on key words in the titles of each working paper. We do not group similar keywords, as the methodology accounts for potential political context behind the language chosen for the title of each working paper by its respective author.
We hope that the Thematic Database enables users to explore and use working paper submissions throughout the Review Cycle with more ease and accessibility, and that it can also offer insights into patterns, trends, and changes to priority areas, key issues, and participation in working paper submissions, across each year.
